IVI Consults on FBI Field Office
This 171,000 SFG, 5-story, Class A office building and 4-story parking garage are being constructed on an 11.6-acre parcel for the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s new Charlotte field office. Upon completion, the building is targeted for LEED Certification. Construction began in the first quarter of 2010 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2011.
The developer is a joint venture between Highwoods Properties B, LLC and USAA Real Estate Company in San Antonio, Texas. The architect-of-record is Cooper Carry, and Shelco, Inc. is the general contractor.
IVI is providing project management oversight services, which consists of construction cost control; review of contract drawings and specifications; and review of construction and building loan documents, schedules, permits, and approvals. While under construction, IVI is providing payment requisition disbursement control services and confirming general compliance of construction with the project documents.
