IVI Consults on Des Plaines Casino
The Des Plaines Casino consists of a 148,000 SFG building and 1,560 car parking structure on 21 acres in Des Plaines, Illinois. When completed, the project will include 1,180 slot machines, 30 gaming tables, and several casual and upscale restaurants.
The project is being developed by Midwest Gaming Entertainment, LLC with Development Management Associates as the owner representative. Klai Juba Architects has been retained as the architect-of-record, and Pepper Construction Co. is the general contractor. Work began in April 2010, and the casino is expected to be open by August 2011.
IVI is providing project management oversight services, which consists of construction cost control, review of contract drawings and specifications; and the review of construction and building loan documents, schedules, permits, and approvals. While under construction, IVI is providing payment requisition disbursement control services and confirming general compliance of construction with the project documents.
